Procedure: Delayed breast reduction after lumpectomy and radiation
Patient had a history of left lumpectomy and radiation for breast cancer. She presented several years later with significant breast asymmetry. She had scarring and hyperpigmentation of the left breast skin from radiation. She has a scar in her right upper chest from a chemotherapy port. The patient requested symmetrical and smaller breasts. She underwent bilateral breast reductions for symmetry. Due to her history of radiation, the scar pattern on the left breast was modified to prevent healing problems. An “anchor” skin incision pattern was utilized on the right breast.
